Chief George L.
Kelley,
III
 |
Chief
Kelley has been a member of the
Pawtucket police department for over
thirty-three (33) years.
Since his swearing in on May 20, 1974 he
has served in almost every rank within
the department. He was promoted to
the rank of Chief on February 12, 1999.
He has a B.S. in Law Enforcement from
Bryant College.
Chief

Major John J. Whiting
 |
Major Whiting has been a member of the
Pawtucket police department for over
twenty-nine (29) years. Appointed to
the police department on November 24,
1978, Major Whiting has served the
department in many capacities. He
was promoted to the rank of Major in
1999 and
currently oversees the department's
Criminal Investigative Division which is
comprised of the Detective Bureau,
Prosecution Bureau, Special Squad and
Youth Services Bureau.
Major Whiting holds a BS degree in
Criminal Justice, a Juris Doctor Degree
from New England School of Law and
attended the 202nd session of the F.B.I.
National Academy, Quantico, VA.
Major Whiting has received numerous
commendations for his police work in
both the patrol and investigative
divisions. |
Major Paul King
 |
Major King has been a member of the
Pawtucket police department for over
twenty-five (25) years. Major King
was appointed to the department on March
12, 1982. He has served in patrol,
investigative and administrative
capacities during that time.
He
supervised many vice operations for the
department as the head of the
departments' Special Squad. Major
King was promoted to the rank of Major
in 2005. He currently serves as the
Major in charge of the Administration
Division, where he oversees budgetary
matters, as well as physical plant and
fleet operations.
Major King holds a BS degree in Criminal
Justice from Bryant College and a Master
of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from
Anna Maria College.

Major Arthur J. Martins
 |
Major Martins has been a member of the
Pawtucket police department for over
twenty (20) years. Appointed to
the department on June 22, 1987, Major
Martins has extensive experience in both
patrol and investigative operations.
He worked for several years in the
department's Special Squad.
Major Martins holds a Bachelor's Degree
from Bryant College in Criminal Justice,
a Master's Degree from Anna Maria
College in Criminal Justice and attended
the 186th Session of the FBI National
Academy, Quantico, VA.
Major Martins is currently in charge of
all patrol operations for the
department.
