Chief Goncalves began her career with the Pawtucket Police Department on December 11, 1998. She has served in the Patrol Division, Narcotics Division and Detective Division.
Chief Goncalves was promoted to Sergeant in 2003; Detective Sergeant in 2006; Lieutenant in 2011; Captain in September 2011 and Major in September 2015 overseeing the Major Crimes Unit. Chief Goncalves was also an original member of the Sex Offender Law Enforcement Multidisciplinary Network (SOLEMN) and also served as the Police Department's Prosecuting Officer.
Chief Goncalves holds a BS Degree in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University and a Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law. She is a licensed attorney in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Major Mullen joined the Pawtucket Police Department in March of 1994. He has served in both the Patrol Division and Detective Division.
Major Mullen was promoted to Sergeant in 1999; Lieutenant in 2002; Detective Lieutenant in 2005; Captain in 2010; Detective Captain in 2016 and Major in 2017. Major Mullen previously served as a department firearms instructor and a member of the department's Special Response Team.
Major Mullen holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's Degree from Anna Maria College.
Major Kane joined the Pawtucket Police Department in June 1996. He has served in Patrol, Detectives, and Administration.
Major Kane was promoted to Detective in 2006; Sergeant in 2009, Lieutenant in 2013; Captain in 2017; Major in 2019. Major Kane previously served as an instructor in a wide variety of departmental training functions, among them as Field Training Officer, a department firearms instructor, and a member of the department's Special Response Team.
Major Kane holds a Bachelor's Degree from Roger Williams University and a Master's Degree from Salve Regina University.
