Police Explorers Program

The Pawtucket Police Explorers Program is for people ages 14-20 who have completed 8th grade. The program introduces the participants to the world of law enforcement and covers many topics, including the history of policing, use of force, and search and seizure law. The participants are also taught general skills, such as public speaking, and they engage in team exercises related to law enforcement. Some objectives of the program are to help the participants choose a career path within law enforcement and to assist them in becoming responsible citizens, increasing their discipline, confidence and self-respect. The program is often involved in various community events, including city cleanups, the Special Olympics, Wreaths Across America, National Night Out, and Mrs. Grebiens turkey basket event.
